‘n’ Scott—didn’t get to travel much this summer,
though much of Dirk’s travelling will be woven in as soon as he
comes upstairs to write. Not to say, though, that a lot didn’t
go into
this novel. Well, right now, Dirk & Scott are down in the atrium
of Scott’s nice new Chicago apartment. They are down there with
Kitty (sic), Maria Papa, a nice neighbor, and someone else. It is nice
here
in Scott’s apartment, where, I mean, in which Dirk
will soon write about how we drove from Cincinnati to Reno without
stopping, and what Scott had in his briefcase. It will be cool, kind
of like Pulp Fiction.
